Two Months
This chubby baby is two months old already. How did that happen?
Breaks my heart that her newborn days went by so quickly. And that we spent so little of it cuddling in bed. On the rare occasion that the big kids both go to school when they're supposed to, I try to just snuzzle and enjoy her. She's super snuggle-able.
Heidi is a very chill third child. She really only cries when she wakes up and wants to be fed. And sometimes in the evening, just because she knows the other kids are whining for dinner too. She has to get in on that action.
Her daytime sleeping schedule is all over the place because our days vary so much. If she falls asleep in the car seat during school dropoffs, she'll often stay in the bucket and sleep the whole morning. If we're at home for the day then she is usually awake with us with one nap in the morning. She stays awake for 90 minutes at a time. It's like clockwork. I can very accurately tell what time it is based on Heidi getting fussy and rubbing her face.
She sleeps well at night in the swing. She pretty consistently goes to bed at 8:00. Usually she wakes up once around 3:00 and goes right back to sleep. Sometimes she throws us a bone and sleeps all the way through to 7:00.
She decided being rocked is nice after all, but only cradled in my arms, facing out, with her head on my shoulder and her cheek smushed against mine. This position seems totally unnatural to me but I saw Elaine hold Henry and Ingrid that way. She had the touch with babies.
Loves: swinging, foot rubs, being naked, light fixtures, eating every hour from 4:00 to 8:00.
Hates: dirty diapers, waiting more than 30 seconds to eat after waking, tummy time.
Reactions to siblings:
Henry - WTF was that? Where did it come from? Where did it go?
Ingrid - Oh, it's that cuddly thing with all the hair. I think I like that thing.

Height: 24.5 inches (off the charts - her 6-month sleepers are barely long enough!)
Weight: 14lb 3oz (off the charts)
Head circ: 41 cm (75-90th perccentile)
