Outdoorsy

I didn't have to work today and have been itching for some outdoor time, so we took Henry on his first walk in the woods today.  I would call it a hike, except that nobody was limping at the end, so it doesn't really qualify as a hike in my book.

It was a beautiful day at Great Falls, a little crowded at the park around the visitor's center but empty on the trails.

An uphill battle.

Henry uncharacteristically didn't sleep well last night -- he was up at 11:00 and 4:00 with what appeared to be nightmares -- so he woke up really late this morning, then didn't take a morning nap, and was rather fussy by the time we got to Great Falls.  He fell asleep in the Ergo as soon as we started walking, and Karl and I had a very peaceful stroll.  He woke up just a little while before we got back to the park, and seemed happy to look around at the trees and rocks.  We sat in the park and let him play in the grass for awhile before heading home.  Such a pleasant way to spend a Sunday morning.
