Why didn't you say so?

Poor Elaine was looking a little frazzled today when we got home.  Apparently Henry was just cranky and pissed off and generally unsatisfiable all day.

He was pretty fussy for us at the beginning of the evening, then acted like a psycho toddler through most of dinner.  Most of his food ended up on the floor.  At least Izzy enjoyed that aspect of dinner, because it otherwise wasn't the most pleasant meal we've eaten together.

Eventually we gave up and took Henry to his room for naked time.  He lunged at an avocado in the fruit bowl on the way out of the kitchen, so I grabbed it and a spoon to see if we could force some calories on him.  He transformed into his usual jolly self as soon as his clothes came off, playing with toys, bringing us books, and cruising around the room, mouth open wide for a bite of avocado every time he passed me.  He ate the entire thing while he was playing.

Henry ran into the bathroom when Karl started running the bath, acting like he wanted to get in right away.  I plunked him in the water and let him splash -- he kept pulling the register up on the bath faucet so that the shower would spray on his head.  He was happy as a clam and we had a very nice bath.

Apparently he just wanted to eat an avocado in the nude and take a shower.  I can't imagine why Elaine didn't think of that.
