CRAZY Updates

Karl's surgery went well. Our friend who is a surgeon at GW picked Karl up after the procedure and came over to tend to him/wrestle henry while Karl stayed in the couch all weekend. You may note that this recovery period coincided with the start of the NCAA tournament.

He's still moving a little slow and can't lift. Luckily we had Reitzes here this weekend and uncle Matt next weekend to provide extra hands.

Their reward for coming to help us? Freezing cold showers! The hot water heater died altogether. New system should be installed on Tuesday, but I don't have much hope of anything going right with this thing.

Karl started his new job on Monday. Sounds like it's going to be a great experience. He went to New York on Wednesday and Thursday. I survived being alone with all three children.

The water remediation equipment is out of the house and we already have insurance checks. But still waiting to hear from the contractor when he can put the house back together.

Ingrid and I got sick this weekend. I guess it was our turn. Boo.

My best friend moved away. Double boo.

And the ice maker broke, making it difficult to consume enough alcoholic beverages to find all of this amusing. Crazy.
