Parenting Notebook

I took a day off to spend with Henry last week while Elaine was sick.  We had a delightful day together.  Notes for my parenting memoir:

•  If you want your toddler boy to sit happily in the car seat for 45 minutes at the DMV inspection station, choose the lane right next to the commercial vehicles lane.
• Giant park with grassy hills and abundant sunshine --> four-hour nap.
• If dinner involves maple syrup and cheese grits, there will be no leftovers.
